This is a multiple-user breast pump; however, each user must use their own new personal accessory kit (breast shields, bottles, valves, tubing, backflow protectors). Accessories must not be shared. If you are infected with Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, or HIV, using a breast pump will not reduce or eliminate the risk of transmitting the virus to your baby through breast milk. Before each use, visually inspect all components (breast shields, valves, bottles, tubing) for cracks, chips, tears, discolouration, or deterioration. Do not use if damaged replace the parts before resuming use. Electrical Safety. Do not immerse the motor unit, adapter, or tubing in water or other liquids. If the pump falls into water, unplug immediately before retrieval. Do not sanitise the motor unit or adaptor in the microwave. Never immerse the main unit in water. Keep the power cord away from heated surfaces. Only use attachments and accessories recommended by Spectra. Do not disassemble or attempt to modify the motor unit. The adaptor must be positioned so it can be easily unplugged during use. Unplug the AC/DC adaptor when the pump is not in use. Usage & Child Safety. Never leave the product unattended while plugged in. Always supervise closely if used near infants or children. Do not use outdoors, or in areas where aerosol sprays or oxygen are being administered. Keep all cords, tubing, bottles, and small parts out of reach of children (risk of choking or strangulation).Do not inhale or swallow small parts. Allergic reactions may occur in some users. Do not use accessories from other brands with this product. Handling & Maintenance. Do not use the pump if it has a damaged cord, plug, or motor unit, or if it has been dropped, damaged, or is not functioning correctly. If the pump is dropped or impacted, contact a service centre before further use. Lint, dust, and sunlight can adversely affect safety and performance store the unit in a clean, dry place. The breast shield of this pump complies with medical device biocompatibility requirements. General Precautions. Use the breast pump only for its intended purpose: expressing breast milk.
